What's a Class Rating Instructor?
A Class Rating Instructor (CRI) is an instructor that instructs existing pilots who have a current licence and medical.
Instruction can take place even if the pilot has a lapsed certificate of experience.
CRI's can instruct on any aspect of flying up to the level of their own current ratings.

| Resumé: | Learnt to fly in 1985. Has around 1300 hours on many different types of aircraft. Holds IMC and night ratings, as well as "complex" (variable pitch propellers, retractable undercarriage, super/turbo charged aircraft), and tail-wheel ratings. Nigel holds an aerobatic formation CAA Display Authorisation (flying a Yak52 - see yakdisplay.com), as well as being a CAA authorised flight test pilot. |
