We had a chat with Jack Lister who passed his skill test with us last month.
1. What’s the best piece of PPL advice you’ve received? Early on in my training I was told to not leave the theory until the last minute and I think that’s great advice. Not only does the theory compliment your training and better your understanding, the last thing you want is to be held up because you have exams outstanding. Once out of the way, you get to have all the fun with the flying!
2. What has been the most memorable moment of your aviation journey so far? It has to be landing back at Earls Colne after my QXC. It’s a massive day in your PPL journey and the first time I really felt like I was a pilot!
3. What are your future goals? I’d really love to take the modular route and work all the way up to ATPL. Flying for the airlines has been a dream of mine for as long as I remember.
4. What would be your dream aircraft to fly? It has to be the Spitfire! I think attending airshows and seeing all the vintage warbirds when I was younger is what gave me the aviation bug so getting to fly a Spitfire would be amazing!
Jack commented “I’d also really like to thank all the team at AFC for making the PPL journey truly amazing and in particular Paul McConnell, he really is a fantastic instructor and a credit to the AFC team!” Jack is more than happy to answer any questions you have!
