Some top tips from our Head of Training, Nigel, to help you become an even better pilot!
- Spend time planning on the ground – never rush into the air. Regrets are more expensive in all respects if already airborne!
- You’ll never make a nice landing off a bad approach; if it’s going pear-shaped on the approach – go around early and start again
- There’s no such thing as a down-wind check. They are pre-landing checks meaning you should to do those checks whether you are joining cross-wind, base or even straight-in to land (and not “just” when down-wind).
- Expand your horizons and use the time with an instructor wisely – learn something new as well as practising the same old, same old.
